I was with D-troop 3/4 Cav from Sept 69 to Nov 69. We were called the Mini Cav. We were called Aerorifles too.
I would like to find out how the mini cav did after I was wounded in Nov 69 if you know anything.
Al Nixon and I were wounded the same afternoon We were going to setup an ambush,. Found a Booby trap. Al and me went in to disarm it and boom. I know that bunch of brothers were wounded.
Don't remember any of the pilots but they were good. The Cobra and LOH saved our ass a lot of times. Didn't take any pictures while there. Tried to keep my mind on other things.
We had 2 squads and Al's squad needed a point man for the ambush, so I went with them. It was Thanksgiving in the afternoon. Would love to hear from any of the guys.
Gave my guitar to one of the guys before being sent to Japan.,
