Money & Military Payment Certificates

Vietnamese money, MPCs, coins, etc; most of us kept one or two for nostalgia. Might be worth something now.

Rick Williams, Fleming, Meeks, Kelly, Whitmoyer, Borey

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

MPC Rick Williams: Cleaning out and organizing all my Army related stuff recently, I stumbled across five Military Payment Certificates (shown on right). Never really knew much about them while in RVN but here's the history:

Turns out some actually have value, although my series 641 notes are not worth much.

Tom Fleming: I wish I hadn't thrown all mine away.

Tom Meeks: I brought some back and gave them to the Ft Lewis museum when I retired.

John Kelly: I spent all mine before I left. Not sure where? But I left broke!

Don Borey: Here is a $1 MPC,  It would be from sometime in late '71 or Jan '72

RVN Money

Bill Whitmoyer: I found these two bills in a book that I brought back from RVN - threw them in a box where I kept things from my tour. Went looking for them when I read Rick’s Discussion Page.
