Riniker3 April 2017: I was a 45J20 (Army Aircraft Armament Repairman) with F Troop Feb-Nov72.

I troubleshot and fixed the electronic end of our aircraft armament program, and I can still tell you what circuit card did what in an ECB (Electronic Control Box), as well as any other ordnance related item.

Feel free to pick my brain for anything you are working on.

After 25 yrs in the Army, I changed uniforms and spent another 13 yrs in the Air National Guard as a wing intelligence officer as well as several commands, so I can tell you about what the bad guys were using, also.

Lieutenant Colonel Linford E. Riniker, USAF (retired) commanded the 111th Mission Support Group, the 111th Logistics Readiness Squadron, and served as the Wing Senior Intelligence Officer for the 111th Fighter Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard, at Willow Grove Joint Reserve Base, PA. The 111th Fighter Wing operated the A/OA-10 aircraft that provided close air support, interdiction, forward air control, and combat search and rescue capabilities in support of Air Combat Command missions

LTC Riniker began his military career when he was drafted into the Army in 1971 and subsequently enlisted. He served as a helicopter weapons systems repairman in two Air Cavalry units in the Republic of Vietnam, along with duty as a UH-1M crew chief in the 104th Armored Cavalry Regiment and the 28th Aviation Battalion, Pennsylvania National Guard.

He was commissioned in the United States Army as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Army ROTC, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, in 1977 and has commanded an active duty Army Air Defense Artillery battery and Armor company, along with a variety of staff positions. He additionally held alternate specialties as a Foreign Area Officer (political/military affairs) for Southwest Asia and as an Organizational Effectiveness Staff Officer. Prior to transferring services into the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Riniker served as the Ground Liaison Officer, United States Army Reserve, for the 111th Fighter Wing and the 94th Air Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, GA.

Lieutenant Colonel Riniker made combat deployments as the Wing Senior Intelligence Officer for Operation Southern Watch at Al Jaber AB, Kuwait (1995, 1999, 2001), Operation Enduring Freedom at Bagram AB, Afghanistan (2002), where he was the Senior Intelligence Officer for the 455th Expeditionary Operations Group, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), where he served as J-2 for a Special Operations Task Force in Iraq and later as the C-2 for Joint Task Force-West in Amman, Jordan. He again deployed to Iraq in 2007 for duty with the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division as the Documents Exploitation Team Chief, where his team identified and assisted locating the leadership of Al Qaeda and Sunni insurgent groups.

Lieutenant Colonel Riniker retired in November 2008 with 21 years of active service and 38 years of total service.

He now serves as a Quality Assurance Representative with the Navy Special Emphasis Program, Defense Contract Management Agency (Department of Defense), Philadelphia, PA. His duties involve oversight of non-destructive and destructive material testing and verification of technical and mechanical standards for equipment and materials used in major naval weapons programs.
