William Watkins Obituary
age 79 of Northfield Center passed away Friday, October 4, 2024. Cherished husband of Linda; loving son of the late Helen and Robert; dearest father of Kathryn (Jeremy) and Whitney (Vince) and stepfather of Lisa (the late Brad); brother of Bob (Vicky); much loved Gramps of Brianna (Ian), Victoria, Alyssa, Joey, Kayla, Brayden, Raeanne and Solomon; Great Gramps of Lincoln. Bill loved his furry stepfather Billy and Brody so very much. Beloved brother-in-law of John and Margie, both deceased; dear uncle of John (Connie), Brian (Kelly), Kevin (Christy) and Kelly; dear great-uncle of Alexander, Logan, Andrew, Morgan and Zachary. Bill's family was the center of his world. He was a very loving and loyal person to friends and family alike. Bill made a friend everywhere he went and was always willing to share a story. Bill took immense pride in his service to his country in the US Army as a Vietnam Veteran. The family will receive friends 9-11 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 99 West Aurora Road, Northfield Center, OH (330) 468-1443. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Northfield. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to the American Kidney Fund at kidneyfund.org or to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation at my.clevelandclinic.org/giving/ways-to-give. The family would like to offer a special thank you to DaVita in Twinsburg for the great care that Bill received there.

Bill was in the second squad and carried the M-60 and he could make that M- 60 talk and he always got the job done. He carried all his own ammo because he always said we had enough to carry our own things.He got the nick name MR. M- 60
He came to some of the reunions Dayton, OH, Tucsen,AZ. Nashville. TN and Harrisburg, PA
