1LT Terry D. Talley was an OH-6 Scout Pilot who died after his tour in Vietnam on 05/23/2001 at the age of 53. Date of Birth 06/24/1947. Flight Class 68-514/68-24

Marty Jenkins: 18 April 2017
Terry and I were Assistant Platoon Leaders under Jerry Odom when I was shot down on April 25, 1969. The next day, the 26th, Terry was out scouting, doing the work previously reported along with the task to confirm pieces of my bird "384" (for the records), when he received enemy AK-47 fire. He was hit across the top of his foot and ended up next to me in the 12th Evac Hospital. We were evacuated together to Camp Zama in Japan.

We were next to each other along with a lot other guys. They operated on his foot and he was in a lot of pain. I lost track of him as I was sent to Martin Army Hospital Georgia to convalescent.

At our reunion in Nashville 2014, I finally talked with his wife, whereupon I found out he passed because of Lymphoma. Terry was fearless and could always be counted on in a pinch. A true gentlemen and a credit to our Troop in EVERY way. Gary Owen

Moose Marcinkowski: 5 October 2012
While I was XO ,Terry Talley was a scout pilot and pretty much flew OH-6's. He was a good troop, tall, good looking and had a great sense of humor. While I was on emergency leave in Dec 68 he was medevaced for reasons I can't recall other than it was combat related. The person who can likely add to the Terry Talley story is Marty Jenkins (AKA Superman). and/or Jerry Odom.

Dennis Rogers: 2011:
If I remember correctly, I was crew chief with Terry Talley returning from a VR when we were hit by AK fire. He was shot through the foot, and sent home. I never saw him again. This was in a OH-6 in the Light Scouts. Sorry to hear he is no longer with us.
