John Alfred Ray Olson was born in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan to Muriel Grace and Gerald Channing Olson. He was named after his two grandfathers. (14 Jan 1938 - 17 Arpil 2017, age 79)
The family moved to Detroit, Michigan April 26, 1939.
He married his 1st wife Kaye Stringer in Dearborn, Michigan in 1956. They had one daughter. They divorced in January 1961.
His 2nd wife was Irene Elizabeth Penrow. They married in Fort Benning, Georgia in 1962 by Lutheran minister. They had four sons.
John Alfred Ray Olson had twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded by the love of his life Irene (his Georgia Peach) and his 1st born son Gerald Ray Olson in 2006 and Grandson Johnathan.
Buried on Friday, April 21, 2017.
