George C LeBarge died peacefully In his home January 31 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Born April 3 1953 he was a life-long native of Tucson Arizona and proud of it. George was the second son of Bob and Val LeBarge

After attending Catalina High School he enlisted in the Army in 1971 where he served his country in Viet Nam on the front lines as a chief helicopter mechanic and brought the colors home on the last flight out of the country

On his return George was employed with the US Postal Service in various positions for 32 years and elected to retired in 2004 to pursue his first love of serving people as a real estate agent and broker He was involved first on the side then fulltime in the field of real estate for 25 years and made it his goal to help people find the home of their dreams He was deeply Invested in his clients and made it standard practice to always have an open door policy In his home. George was a generous and kind man wno loved to laugh and experience the positive side of life. His final act of giving was to donate his remains to the University of Arizona's College of Medicine for the furtherance of medical science. George is preceded in death by both of his parents

He leaves behind his wife Joy Johnson-LeBarge of Tucson his daughter and son-in-law Renae and Doug Moose his granddaughter Mikayla Moose of Phoenix Arizona and his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Nancy LeBarge of Phoenix Arizona. A celebration of George’s life was Sunday March 18 2007 at 2:00 pm in the backyard of his home. In keeping with George’s "No Sniveling’ mandate, this was a joyous occasion with a small band and serious refreshments afterward. George requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the George LeBarge Scholarship Fund in care of Tucson Baptist Temple 1525 S Columbus Blvd Tucson 85711
