Info Sheet/Obituary - Michael J "Mike" Douglas
Deceased 6 November 2020
"I was an E4 grunt. I came over with the division, 30 day boat ride . I got a flash back when you said you flew a 23. I'm not sure what reason it was, but I remember being in a 23 when we hit a tree top at takeoff. Maybe we were on a booze mission to Saigon or perhaps on the way back. If you don't remember then it must have been someone else. lol. True story I didn't want the Navy or the Air force didn't want to swim or fly. Wounded up sailing from Cal to Hawaii from Hawaii to Nam. Got assigned to the Air CAV and flew from Nam to N.Y. I had more sea and sky time than all my Navy and Air Force friends. Couldn't have served with a better bunch of men (there were no BOYS in Nam) That's enough from me." (Mike to webmaster)
