Carl Betsill: E-6 Staff Sergeant Weaver is in the Lai Khe 71 Yearbook. We called him “Uncle Charlie”. I don’t know if Charlie was his real name or not. The caption is very understandable to those who knew him. He sang the praises of the OH-6 Hughes aircraft and bemoaned Bell’s two blade rotor system. Every newby had to hear that lecture from him. His MOS was aircraft electrician and worked with Sparks and Dice. Sparks is deceased and Dice has made it clear that he wants no contact from former Centaurs. SSG Weaver derosed sometime in the fall of 71. He is pictured also in my photo album image #2.
