Jack Neymeyer (17 Dec 2013): Is that true Williams has passed away ????? I talked to him several years ago on the phone, he said he had some health issues but didn't expand on it....He was flying #224 the day they got hit in the LZ with the Rifles and his CE was wounded ( "PJ" Jones ) had shrapnel in his head ...After that he was sent to Japan, and I took over CE duties of 224 "The Pinball Wizard" Williams and PJ painted that on the trans cover. Williams was a damned good pilot !! I begged him to teach me how to fly ,or at least show me the controls.
He finally Took me on a Test Flight one day and showed me how to try to hover and make a take off and a landing.....I flew like a damned Yo-Yo.....But I was glad I had that little bit of "How to", just incase I needed it......Sorry to read of his passing....
