Tom Noss: Yes, I remember CPT Voorhees. Tall guy. He flew slicks I think.
Ron D. Holmes: CPT James W. Voorhees, he was slick platoon leader when I came to the unit in May of 1972. I saw him one time outside Fort Campbell in 1976 in a restaurant. He was not in the Army any more.
Pete Holmberg (2023) - He was the slick platoon leader and next in line for XO during my stint with the Centaurs. Last time I saw him was at the Helicopter Association of America (HAA) convention in Anaheim, CA around 1980 take or give (the organization changed its name that year to Helicopter Association International, HAI). He was attending as a civilian PhD and member of NASA, and had no idea who i was. This I found strange as we were fairly close in VN—he strongly encouraged me to stay on active duty (which I did not), was ops officer in the C&C bird when I was hit and put the bandage on me, and wrote me a letter of recommendation after I got out.
