When I was a team leader in the Aero Rifles. PFC Mascarenas was in my team as a Rifleman.
He spoke bi lingual and a decent artist.
He was from Puerto Rico. I had several men from there on my team. At times I used him to translate for me when they made a remark (under their breath) back to me in Spanish. He ended that problem for me.
He was in D Troop from 1965 - 1967. Tour in Viet Nam Mar. 66 - Mar. 1967
I don’t think he was married at time he was in D Troop.
I don’t know where he was from either.
