I graduated from flight school on my birthday, July 27, 1970. After returning from Vietnam in Aug ’71.
I acquired my helicopter CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) and A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Certificate in May of ‘76.
In Sep ’76 I went to work for Bell Helicopter International. in Iran; working as a helicopter maintenance tech & Huey instructor pilot,.leaving Iran just before Christmas ’78.
I was lucky to have also worked in the Bahamas, New York City (Long Island), Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, before moving to Phoenix in March '82.
Working in Phoenix, I flew EMS(Emergency Medical Service), US Gov’t/Bureau of Reclamation, TV, Charter and gave flight instruction. Moved to Maui in July ’98 to fly tours for 9 years.
I retired to Phoenix, AZ in June '09, where I had worked as a commercial helicopter pilot for 16 years before moving to Maui.
Alice and I have 3 married children, 1 grandchild & have been married 44 years.
Was in Vietnam from Aug –’70 to Aug-‘71 in both D troop & F troops.
