Carl Betsill: Greg may well be one of the longest serving members of F-Troop. He was assigned to F-Troop after he returned stateside for training and tour extension.
He was transferred from a Chinook unit in Chu Chi that stood down to F-troop in Lai Khe in January 1971 and stayed with the troop the entire time at Lai Khe, was with us when we moved to Long Bien and was there right up until the unit moved north in April, 1972.
He and I both watched our aircraft fly north as we were heading to the out-processing unit.
