As a returning Scout Pilot at the end of the Conflict, was selected to be a member of C/158th Aviation Bn, to test and establish concepts for the yet-to-be formed 160th SOAR. After almost 5 years of developing the concepts to be considered for use by the 160th, all pilots of the unit PCS’d and none were ever members of the 160th, but I do carry the coin. I was also part of “Project Phoenix” in Vietnam as a “Grunt” Platoon Leader.”
My return to AD from retirement was also fun, Korea 1st , then was the Bde S-4 as a Warrant for Somalia and did all the logistics, and then for Haiti!
NOW retired! As a farmer…
