I left the Army as an enlisted soldier in 1972. I entered college at Union University, Jackson, TN in 1979, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary 1983 (MDiv), Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA 1993 (D.Min)
I entered the Army as a Chaplain in 1986 and retired in 2012. I am Married to Dr. Judy A. (Bradshaw) Criner. She retired from the Army with the rank of LTC in 2010. We have two sons, Dr. Roger D. Criner JR, Gary W. Criner. We reside in Halls, TN located about 65 miles North of Memphis, TN.
