Info Sheet - Jerry M. Brownfield

.....................................................................................................................................................................................................

I was in B Trp from October until April 8, 1970 when my #30 Command track was him behind my drivers hatch and caught on fire.

I was the only one not injured and got down inside the burning APC to put the fire out before it blew up killing everyone.

I was offered a position in HHT by my platoon Sgt. Rowland to be a radio operator in TOC for S-2. So I did that and ran the generators for TOC when we went into Cambodia for those two months in 1970.

I did not actually get involved with D/F Troop until the 2010 reunion after talking to Fred Reese and have been attending those reunion ever since and hosted one in 2013 when I lived in Des Moines, Iowa. Also hosted the one in 2017.

We all have a great time at these reunions!
